A neon photo booth is a photo capture setup built around an LED-neon tube backdrop — vibrant glowing tubes shaped into letters, words, geometric patterns or custom designs. What is a neon photo booth?

Is the backdrop real LED neon or a printed image?
Real LED neon. We use silicone-coated flexible LED neon tubes — the actual light source is in every photo, producing genuine glow, lens flare and ambient lighting on guests' faces. Printed "neon-style" backdrops look flat in photos because there's no real light source. The difference is obvious as soon as you see comparison shots.
Can I get a custom neon sign with my name or message?
Yes. We fabricate custom LED neon signs featuring the host's name, event message, brand wordmark or wedding hashtag. Common designs include "[Name]'s 21st", "Better Together", "Mr & Mrs [Surname]" and brand-specific signs. Lead time is 14 days from booking confirmation.
What colours are available for the backdrop?
Standard colours are hot pink, electric blue and purple/violet — chosen at booking. RGB programmable backdrops (which shift colour through the event) are available as an add-on. Custom colour combinations and brand-Pantone matching available for activation campaigns.
Why do photos from neon booths look better than flash photos?
Flash creates harsh shadows, red-eye and a "snapshot" feel. Neon lighting produces ambient glow that wraps around faces, softens skin tones and creates the bokeh-rich aesthetic content creators chase. Same DSLR camera, fundamentally different lighting result.
Will the booth look right in a brightly-lit hotel ballroom?
Yes — but with a small caveat. The neon backdrop produces best contrast in venues with moderate ambient lighting (most function rooms, lounges, restaurant private rooms, dim ballrooms). For brightly-lit venues, we position the backdrop away from direct overhead lighting to preserve the neon glow effect.
Can the booth work for weddings or is it just for 21st birthdays?
Both. The Neon booth is most popular for 21st birthdays and themed parties, but wedding bookings (particularly receptions and ROM after-parties) often use a custom "Better Together" or couple-name sign with a softer purple backdrop. The aesthetic fits non-traditional weddings particularly well.
What's the difference between Neon and a normal photo booth with neon-themed props?
A normal booth with neon-themed props uses a standard backdrop and adds neon accessories (light-up glasses, props). A Neon Photo Booth uses an LED tube backdrop as the *main* visual — the lighting is in every photo, not just in some props. The aesthetic difference is significant and consistent.
How is custom neon sign pricing structured?
Custom fabricated signs range from SGD [VERIFY: $XXX] depending on size, design complexity and number of words. Single-line cursive script is the most affordable.
